A group of fifteen year olds share a very peculiar neighborhood: the orthopedic floor in a hospital. Miguel Angel, Izan, Dani and Jorge manage to make their lives livable and their futures faceable through their joy of living. In the end, even though the hospital has its own set of rules, hierarchy, language and economy, it is a reflection of the real world. There are some nice people, like Doctor Marcos, and some not-so-nice people like Doctor Gallego. There are happy moments and bitter moments. The only valid point of view towards all this is the one taken by Doctor Mercero on the Fourth Floor: the smile that fights and defies destiny. Humor is the vital force used by Fourth Floor to tell the story of these youngsters.
