“Amistades peligrosas” deals with the complex personal and professional relationships in a group of seven young mean and women who live in a large city and who meet again ten years after leaving the high school where they were all classmates. The series examines the double standards in personal relationships, the competitiveness of the working environment, and the struggle for success. Silvia is a doctor, whose partner Martín is an ambitious and enterprising Advertising Manager. But Juan, her high-school sweetheart and first love, comes back into her life when he is employed as a doctor at the clinic where she works. Catalina is a housewife who has got a perfect family and who wants to achieve success in social life; David is a fashion photographer who wants to avoid commitment; Helena knows that her career as a model is ephemeral and that she will have to take risks to make it to the top of her profession. Cesar is an unsuccessful writer, who is looking for his place in life.

“Amistades peligrosas” begins when the group of friends, who have just been reunited, receives an unexpected visit from the man who was accused of murdering a classmate of theirs during a camping expedition, in their last term of high-school.
